About Us

Beswick Shih tzu  is a small kennel operating for the past 30 years, which consistently breeds top quality Registered  champion sired show and companion  Shih Tzu puppies. We line breed so that we can evaluate our puppies at an early age.

My line is based on Ch. Hodari Lord of the Rings, and Ch. Shente Brandy Alexander.

All of our registered puppies are home raised and live in our house.  Our champion sired registered  companion puppies are sold on non breeding agreements. We guarantee all puppies for temperament and life threatening genetic problems. We pride ourselves in happy, outgoing registered  puppies with tons of attitude and showmanship.

We boast of having bred five All Breed Best In Show winners, including the United States #1 Shih Tzu Can. Am. Ch. Beswick's in the Nick of Time (Top Toy in the U.S. 1997). Most of my Shih tzu  have achieved their championships in Canada and the U.S. owner handled.

I am a  member of the Canadian Shih Tzu Club, the American Shih Tzu Club, Canadian Kennel Club, and St. Catherine's Kennel Club. I am a Life Member  of the St. Catharines Kennel Club and Canadian Shih Tzu Club

****Special Attention:*****  I wish to add that  we actively show our dogs in confirmation at sanctioned Canadian Kennel club dog shows. There are many backyard breeders that advertise they breed quality not quantity, but the question you need to ask is: " How do they know that they are breeding quality dogs?

Ethical breeders are members of their particular Breed Clubs, (ie Canadian Shih Tzu Club, American Shih Tzu Club) Anyone who wants to pay the membership can belong to the Canadian Kennel Club,(Yes even puppy mills) I advise all perspective buyers to ask " Do you belong to any breed clubs"? Please do not be fooled by "Champion Lines " If this is the case  ask to see a show picture of the dogs in the pedigree that are champions. Breeders that actively compete have pictures of their champion dogs.

Please keep in mind you pay for what you get. If the price of the puppy is considerabley lower than most quotes ,you need to ask the question Why?
